Station Building

Work is currently underway painting the station building to heritage colours. This has involved an extensive scraping off of the old paint from the walls. This work is ongoing. Meanwhile during June 2011 the replacement roof was installed along with new gutters and downpipes.



September 2011 Update

Four new signs were installed on the Station Building between the 27th August and the 10th of September. These have been painted to match the new paintwork.

Station & Interpretive Signage

The new merriwa station sign before and after installation. The letters for this sign were made by David Matthews from Blue Ridge Services and Goodwin Alco pty ltd. many thanks to both of them for their help with this project. People from the Merriwa Mens Shed made the sign backing board and secured the letters in place.





Station Seat

The Station seat now located at Merriwa originally came from North Strathfield and was kindly loaned to the Society by a local resident. It is being sanded prior to painting. 











November 2011 Update

The timber on the seat has been undercoated ready for the finish colour to be applied.











Site Cleanup

The Station Precinct is progressively being cleaned up with brushcutting, mowing and rubbish removal being conducted during working bees.
